More Monstersocks

Used a full ball of the dark green Wildfoote along with a bunch of small balls of odds & sods, Regia leftovers for the second pair and another bunch of lil bits. Even tho I keep getting into the bag of bits it never seems to be getting smaller. Now working on a pair of Koigu Monsterglubs, pix on my blog if interested.

Current Monstersocks

Used an off white Opal for the main color then more odds & sods (the never ending bag of same). But I do like them and since they fit me, will keep them. Next I am going to try using a variegated yarn for the main color and more out of the odds bag, may be interesting or a mess. Either way another pair to keep my feet warm in this quickly descending fall weather.

Black almost Monstersocks

Black Opal and a bunch of odds and sods. Started in late January and finished first sock straight away, then procrastinated on getting to 2nd sock, finally with hockey playoff going decided to finish this and anything else on needles. True Monstersocks are far wilder than these.

3rd pair finished in 08

Finished another pair of Monstersocks, used up a whole lot of odds & sods, little balls to small to go into an afghan square. Think I have enuff of the little bits left to make at least a couple more pair, by the time I get them used up will have generated even more. Current pair on needles are from an old ball of Opal, knit and ripped at least twice, don't like the colors, not much I could do with the variegated yarn but add a few solid colors to the mix and hope for the best. Not bad with the patterns added, and I got another funky color of Opal from the stash used up.

In more than ne group I have promised to use stash and scraps. So here are a pair of peds that are both!



BTW- I love the past couple of posts. The pattern is lovely with all of the scraps!

1st pair Monstersocks in 08

Just finished the 1st pair of socks for 08. Used up lots of little balls assorted odds. Only problem was picking up stitches for the afterthought heel on black, will never do that again. Thinking this pair will go into gift basket for head start on Xmas o8.
